Title: CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND THE ETHICAL IMPLICATIONS OF BUSINESS IN GREEK COMPANIES IN THE REGION OF WESTERN MACEDONIA

Three – Member Advisory Comitee: Georgia Broni, Nikolaos Kartalis, Grigoris Giannarakis

Abstract: Social responsibility and business ethics are two of the most important concepts linked to the sustainability and development of a company, as they allow the company to achieve progress in every sector and to link its activities to the social and environmental benefits that result from its social actions. A company’s activities must be inextricably linked to the society in which it operates, offering the best to its citizens and the country in which it operates, responding in times of crisis and to the problems of the modern, digitalized times. The research of the thesis focuses on the region of Western Macedonia and seeks to study the impact of these two positive concepts of corporate social responsibility and business ethics in an economically troubled region, to identify the recognition of the value of corporate social actions, and to study whether they can enhance the presence of Western Macedonian companies in the national and international business scene.
